This is a video that I am extremely proud to share with all of you.  For the last 3 years, I have been sharing my interpretation of the pearl, and the story of the people behind the scenes who really put in all of the hard work to bring this gem to life.
It is not often that we are able to hear the true story first- hand from those who have lived around the pearl for nearly 80 years.

The main purpose of this trip was to celebrate Robert Wan’s 40th anniversary of Tahiti Perles, which is a feat in itself.  However, at 80 years, The Palmer family have seen it all when it comes to the mother of pearl and Tahitian pearl in the islands.  From the days when Tahitian pearls were strictly a natural pearl and only 1 or 2 pearls were found in collections of thousands of oysters to the present, where the oyster is now grafted to culture pearls.

Enjoy!!!
